04/07/2010 Sigma Theta Chi Alumni Association Announcement:

Sigma Theta Chi Fraternity
Est. 1937
Alumni Association

The Sigma Theta Chi Fraternity Alumni Association releases the following letter to all  Sigma Theta Chi Alumni:

Dear Alumni:
Over the years we have all seen the highs and lows that Sigma Theta Chi has occupied. As alumni we have donated our sweat and tears on numerous occasions to an organization that deserves it. We write this letter as a reminder that even though you have progressed on from collegiate life; Sigma Theta Chi Fraternity still needs our support.
This newsletter is to inform all alumni that a formal, structured Alumni Association is in the process of being developed. As of recently, a few alumni from different generations have taken the initial steps to establish a legitimate alumni association consisting of a constitution, by-laws, and a Committee Board. We have created an organization with the same traditions we upheld as brothers. The future will be based on specific goals that will benefit all alumni of Sigma Theta Chi and provide helpful resources for the current active fraternity.
The purpose for deciding to re-structure is to stabilize both alumni and active fraternity, create oversight, and construct a working rapport with the University that recognizes our organization as a whole. In accomplishing these goals we strive to keep the alumni more informed, involved and connected to the fraternity we all called home at one
point.
The main focus of this Association will be:

1. Cement the existence of the active fraternity
2. Develop structured communication
3. Plan social events & activities
4. Offer scholarships & philanthropy
5. Promote networking opportunities
To aid in reaching our objective we have established an alumni website (www.chialumni.com). This website will be a major avenue of communication to keep alumni informed on all aspects of the association. Please visit and register with the site to help with the continued progress of making a successful Alumni Association and active fraternity.
Following this letter is an invitation to the first Alumni Association “Meet and Greet” June
5th at 2pm at Bar Anticipation (Bar A) in Lake Como, NJ. To RSVP or for more information
please visit the website.
GOD BLESS CHI
